Welcome to the CanBe Lab. I'm Dr. Ryan Payne, and proud to lead a space dedicated to understanding and influencing human behaviour for positive societal change. Based in the 91Porn’s Faculty of Business, Government and Law, the CanBe Lab mission is simple: use behavioural science and marketing to make life better for people, workplaces, and communities. At the CanBe Lab, we study how people think, feel, and act — in both real-world and simulated environments. We look for the patterns that shape decisions, explore how behaviour can be shifted for greater wellbeing, and anticipate how technology, including generative AI, will influence the way we live and work.
Our work ranges from helping governments design more effective policies, to supporting businesses in creating customer experiences that are ethical, engaging, and impactful. We explore everything from public service engagement to workplace innovation, with the goal of creating solutions that are evidence-based, inclusive, and future-focused.
